In their search for depth at cornerback depth, the Cowboys reached back into the USFL pool to sign Josh Butler to their training camp roster. He’ll be pushing for a roster spot over the next month. Well, four years after his Michigan State career ended, Butler is getting another crack at the NFL.Īccording to the Dallas Cowboys’ official Twitter account, they’ve signed Butler to their training camp roster. That positivity was infectious and he vowed to keep pursuing his NFL dream after going undrafted. Butler really had some bad luck, but he kept his head up throughout it all. He came out of the tunnel with his dogs, Roxy and Remi, because he had lost both of his parents during his college career. In that senior season, Butler played in nine games and had 25 total tackles and five pass breakups but he made headlines for his Senior Day walk.
